President of ICJ: Rihab Barkal

My name is Rihab Barkal and I'm a senior at Moulay Rachid High school. I'm very grateful to have been given the chair position of the ICJ.
Conferences, debates and public speaking events were always fascinating to me and fun to participate in. It is amazing to be able to meet new people, learn about the way they think, learn that the world is different depending on which point of view you've adopted. Experiences like these have helped me gain confidence and be more comfortable with being uncomfortable.
I have some experience in debating so I will do my best as a chair to make this meeting a memorable and fruitful experience we can always reminisce about. I'm indeed excited for it. See you soon!

Vice-President of ICJ: Pranav Mittal

My name is Pranav Mittal and I am a junior in the American school of Tangier. Throughout these years, I have participated in several MUN conferences in different positions which gave me opportunities to learn and understand various issues which our world is dealing with. Last few years have been very challenging for the world which has led us to deal with environmental, political, security and health related issues. This year I am honored to be a chair, which gives me an opportunity to guide my delegates to highlight the most relevant issue our world faces.

Judge: Hajar Rachidi

I am highly eager to serve as this year's judge in ICJ. Tangier Model United Nations is a significant opportunity for everyone to enhance their public speaking skills and awareness about world issues.I participated as a delegate and chair, however this year I decided to take another path and broaden my capabilities. Therefore I have all the experience to serve as this year's judge in ICJ. MUN has crucially changed me in many aspects and most importantly I have an appreciable passion to make sure this year's ICJ committee runs impartially, as well as to make it a memorable one for everyone.

Hello
I am a Senior from GWA, and have been participating in MUN and debate related events for a few years now. I absolutely love conferences like these as debating and talking with others from local/international schools gives me an opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and to listen to other people’s stances on such relevant political topics. In the past, I have participated a few times as a delegate, along with being ambassador once, but this year I have been given the opportunity to chair, which I am really excited about. See you soon!

Malak Benchekroune

Dear MUN volunteers,

Hello, my name is Malak Benchekroune. I am overjoyed and honoured to be part of 2022’s MUN conference. Since middle school, MUN has just been part of something I cant miss out. MUN has aided me to develop my skills and face to face discussions even with people I don’t know. It has and still is an experience that has taught me a lot including how to accept different ideas of different people and how to communicate correctly. In addition, MUN helps and specifically helped me develop leadership skills and has educated me about several world issues I’ve never heard about. Last but not least, MUN conferences have shown and taught me how everything can be managed and changed step by step only if we all communicate and most specifically work as a whole.

MUN is a fast-growing competitive activity for many students, but to a great deal of us, it means so much more. Whether it’s a confidence booster, or a chance to voice your political opinion, MUN holds opportunities for everyone. In my case, MUN has been the first step in my path towards becoming an expert in foreign relations and political science. With that being said, I’m honored to chair this year’s Security Council committee and I’m looking forward to a conference filled with fruitful, intellectual debate. Hope to see you all there.

My name is Maryam Jaebak, I’m a student at AST, and I will be co-chair of the WHO committee in this year’s MUN. My first experiences with MUN were with my school’s middle school MUN conferences, where I participated in one of them as a delegate and in the next as the deputy secretary general. Unfortunately, I couldn’t participate in the 2019 TMUN conference because I was still in middle school at the time, but I attended as a staff member so I learned a lot about the way the conferences operate.
