My history with TMUN begins in 2021, which was a first for me doing anything related to MUN and ended up being one of my best experiences of recent memory. Real-world problems require realistic solutions, and that is my goal for the Security Council. I will put in as much effort as possible to ensure a productive and engaging debate for all delegates. My name is Zakaria El Kachtoul, I’m a junior at the American School of Tangier and I’ll be your chair for the UNSC committee. To be in the TMUN program for 4 years has taught me major skills, from researching major political events that’s been going on throughout the world to discussing it in a formal and diplomatic manner. I’ve been able to acquire these skills that didn’t only help me during the TMUN program, but in my everyday life, I’ve been able to build confidence and engage in conversations. Not only so, the TMUN has helped me build good relations with people who I never met previously and to whom I still talk to.
